Security standards assumptions
Under the Code, the system operator must prepare and publish a security of supply forecasting and information policy (SOSFIP).
The SOSFIP sets out the requirements for the system operator to carry out an annual security of supply assessment.
When carrying out this assessment the system operator must use the assumptions set out in security standards assumptions document (SSAD) published by us.
The system operator may use alternative assumptions, though it must always include an assessment against our assumptions.
