Orion's request for interim ruling
On 30 October 2009, Orion New Zealand Limited (Orion) requested that the Electricity Commission consider an interim ruling that a proposed transformer investment at Bromley substation should be considered as an interconnection asset until the review of transmission pricing is completed.
At the request of the Commission, Transpower provided a short paper on the wider issues encountered with regional grid enhancements.
On 16 December 2009, the Commission decided not to grant Orion's request.
