Outcome
2 Jun 2020
The enabling Code amendment came into force on 1 August 2019.
The Authority’s key decisions were to retain the 10 percent and 8 percent trigger points (respectively) for starting and stopping OCCs, count contingent hydro storage in relation to OCCs, not to remove the provision for South Island-only OCCs, and to amend the Reserve Supply Determination.
The Authority also approved the system operator’s revised SOSFIP.
