National market for frequency keeping
This project has arisen, in conjunction with the Multiple Frequency Keepers (MFK) Project because the cost of frequency keeping services has increased significantly in recent years. There is an underlying concern that the number of providers able to meet the current frequency keeping requirements is limited and the quantity of frequency keeping required will increase over time as more generation of the type unable to support system frequency is added to the power system.
