Industry Forum's proposal for an incentivised market making scheme
When the sector forum presented its incentive-based proposal to the Authority’s Board in June, the Board invited the forum to consider and report back on any transition risks associated with its proposal. The forum's response is available below. It will be considered by the Board alongside all other feedback and advice when it decides an approach to market making for the long-term benefit of consumers in August.

In March 2020 the Authority offered to support the establishment of a forum for developing an industry view on a suitable incentive-based market-making scheme, in accordance with an EPR Panel recommendation.
The sector forum prepared and presented an incentive-based proposal to the Authority’s Board, which you can read below. The proposal will be considered by the Authority alongside all other feedback and advice when it decides an approach to market making for the long-term benefit of consumers later this year.
