CBA of DER model release - Updating the Regulatory Settings for Distribution Networks
Last year, Sapere was commissioned by the Authority to do a Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) of distributed energy resources (DER) if it were to realise its unfettered potential in New Zealand. Sapere estimated that if DER were to realise its potential, the net benefit from 2021 to 2050 is expected to be $6.9 billion in net present value. The Authority is releasing the CBA model for interested parties.
The CBA report and model can be found here and the presentation supporting the CBA is available here.
