Authority's preliminary decision on the 9 August 2021 UTS claim
The Electricity Authority has published a preliminary decision in response to the undesirable trading situation (UTS) claim made by Haast Energy Trading Limited and Electric Kiwi Limited (Electric Kiwi), and later joined by Flick Energy Limited (Flick Electric) and Switch Utilities Ltd (Vocus New Zealand).
The Authority received the claim on 12 August 2021 alleging a UTS occurred on 9 August 2021.

The preliminary decision is now open for consultation for seven weeks. Submissions are due by 5pm, 3 February 2022. This extended consultation time takes into consideration the holiday period.
