MDAG 100% renewable energy supply – submissions published

During February and March 2022, the Market Development Advisory Group consulted on the issues that should be explored to enable a shift to 100% renewable electricity supply.

Thank you to everyone who provided a submission. These are published on our website.

The Market Development Advisory Group will consider these submissions as part of its further investigation into how the wholesale electricity market may operate under a 100% renewable electricity supply.

Investigation of alleged breaches of the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 by Ecotricity Limited Partnership

The Authority has commenced an investigation into allegations that Ecotricity breached the Code.

The Authority has received two notifications alleging Ecotricity breached clauses 11.32A, 11.32B, 11.32E, 11.32EA and 11.32EB of the Code by refusing to provide consumer information to an agent on several occasions.

Any participant that may be affected by the matter being investigated and wishes to become a party to this investigation should notify the investigator within 10 working days after the date on which this notice is published.

The investigator can be contacted, citing the reference 2012ECOT1 in the email subject line. compliance@ea.govt.nz.
