Proposed Actions to Correct: UTS 2019 consultation paper

In December 2020, the Electricity Authority (Authority) decided an undesirable trading situation (UTS) occurred between 3 and 27 December 2019.

The UTS provisions of the Code require the Authority to attempt to correct such situations and restore the normal operation of the market.

The Authority has published the Proposed Actions to Correct: Undesirable Trading Situation 2019 paper for consultation.

The Authority encourages and welcomes submissions on the proposed actions to correct. Submissions close 5.00pm Tuesday, 27 April 2021. We will then publish submissions and open a three-week cross submission consultation period.

We will be holding a technical briefing on Thursday, 18 March 2021 from 9.00 to 11.00am at the InterContinental, 2 Grey Street, Wellington 6011, in the Featherston Room. The Zoom link will be distributed closer to the event date.

To register your interest email UTS@ea.govt.nz by 5.00pm Tuesday, 16 March 2021.
