Summary of submissions on ACCES project quick wins consultation

We have been consulting on three proposals that aim to make it easier for electricity consumers to share their historical consumption data with organisations they trust.

Draft determinations of the causers of the 13 and 14 December 2018 under-frequency events

We have published a consultation paper The Authority’s draft determinations of causers: 13 and 14 December 2018 under-frequency events. We will consider submissions on this consultation before making final decisions of the causers.

Submissions close on Tuesday, 13 August 2019.

Consumer information on smart meters

We have updated the What are smart meters? consumer page on our website. As part of this update we have removed old fact sheets and collated the information into one easy-to-follow webpage. If you currently reference the fact sheets from your website please update the link.    

The consumer section of our website gives clear answers to common questions about electricity in New Zealand.

Code amendment: Electricity Industry Participation Code Amendment (Code Review Programme) 2018 

On 1 August  2019 further amendments from the Electricity Industry Participation Code Amendment (Code Review Programme) 2018, will come into force.
  
The amendments are to  Part 11 of the Code.

Reminder: MDAG briefing on trading conduct review 30 July 2019

The MDAG is holding a briefing on Tuesday, 30 July 2019 to update stakeholders on its Review of spot market trading conduct provisions.

Time: 2.30pm–4.30pm (arrive from 2.15pm)
Date: Tuesday, 30 July 2019 
Location: Bell Gully, Level 21 Vero Centre, 48 Shortland Street, Auckland and video conference also available
