Reconciled annual levy rates for the year ending 30 June 2018
We have reconciled the levy rates for the financial year ending 30 June 2018 in accordance with regulation 11 of the Electricity Industry (Levy of Industry Participants) Regulations 2010.
We will gazette the reconciled levy rates on Thursday, 21 February 2019, from which date they will also be available on our website.
Compliance investigations commenced and open for participants to join
The Authority has commenced the following investigations of alleged breaches of the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 (Code):
Country Connect Solar Limited is alleged to have breached clause 11.16(a) of the Code when it commenced trading on Wellington Electricity Lines Limited’s network without first having an arrangement for the provision of line function services.
NextGen Energy Limited (NextGen) is alleged to have breached clause 15.2(1) of the Code when it failed to take all practicable steps to ensure submission information provided to the reconciliation manager, in respect of October 2018, was complete and accurate. NextGen is also alleged to have breached clause 15.2(2) when it did not provide further information to the reconciliation manager to ensure the information was complete and accurate.
Participants who consider they are affected by either of the matters under investigation may join as a party to the relevant investigation by notifying the investigator no later than Friday, 1 March 2019.

Reminder: Call for nominations for Standing Data Formats Group
We are calling for nominations for one trader member and one metering equipment provider member to join the Standing Data Formats Group (SDFG). The SDFG provides independent advice to the Authority on information exchange protocols between:
participants and the market operation service providers
participants and consumers
participants and third party providers.
The group is currently advising on the method of transfer of notifications for EIEP5A planned outages and a proposal to mandate one reporting methodology for distributor billing for EIEP1.
We will appoint the successful nominees in March 2019 for an expected term of three years.
