Submissions published: Upper North Island and upper South Island ACOT lists
We have published the submissions received on the proposed lists of distributed generation eligible to receive avoided cost of transmission (ACOT) payments, made under the regulated terms, in the upper North Island and in the upper South Island. The consultation for both lists closed on 9 October 2018.
We are considering the submissions and aim to publish final lists before the end of 2018.
We have published the presentations from the Market enhancement omnibus forum held on 9 October 2018. The presentations and consultation papers are available on our website.
November 2018 Registry user training – places still available
We have five places available on the hands-on training course for registry users, which the Authority will run in Wellington on 14-15 November 2018.
The course is suitable for new registry users and market participants wanting to learn how the registry works.
Attendees will engage in hands-on exercises and will receive practical experience in:
the operation of the registry
the lifecycle of an ICP, including the registry roles of distributor, trader, and metering equipment provider
the operation of the reconciliation manager portal to upload and download files, manage trade notifications, and add/edit changes to NSPs and balancing areas.
To express interest in attending the course, please email your name and contact details to conference@ea.govt.nz by COB on Tuesday, 6 November 2018 with ‘registry training’ in the subject line.
Please do not book flights and accommodation until you have received confirmation of attendance.
Reminder: Call for nominations for IPAG membership
The Authority is calling for nominations for a member of the Innovation and Participation Advisory Group (IPAG). In addition to the skills and experience generally required of IPAG members, we are particularly interested in nominations from people with experience in digital and technological innovation and strategy.
We are aiming to appoint the new member to IPAG in December 2018 to complete a term ending in September 2020.
More details, including the nomination form, the charter, and the terms of reference for the advisory groups, are available on our website.
We are coordinating the consultation processes for more minor projects into an omnibus series. In our first omnibus, we are consulting on four areas.
1. Review of metering and related registry processes.
2. Access to WITS and the registry.
3. Switch process review.
4. Integrating hosting capacity into Part 6 of the Code.
