As part of our refreshed 2018/19 Work Programme, we are coordinating the consultation processes for more minor projects into an omnibus series.
We have released the first market enhancement omnibus. By coordinating the consultation process for these types of projects, we hope to progress minor market enhancements faster and more efficiently.
We expect this omnibus consultation to be mainly relevant for operational management and teams with an interest in legal and IT management.
In our first omnibus, we are consulting on four areas.
Review of metering and related registry processes.
Access to WITS and the registry.
Switch process review.
Integrating hosting capacity into Part 6 of the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 (Code).
We have extended the consultation period to 10 weeks to allow more time for teams to assess the omnibus consultation and make submissions.
Consultation closes at 5pm on Tuesday, 13 November 2018.
Electricity Industry Participation Code Amendment (Amendments to Certification Reports) 2018
We have approved a Code amendment to insert a new clause 8A into Schedule 10.7 of the Code.
The Electricity Industry Participation Code Amendment (Amendments to Certification Reports) 2018 will come into force on 13 October 2018. The amendment enables an approved test house (ATH) to amend a certification report for a metering installation or metering component in certain circumstances. This amendment replaces an urgent Code amendment that will expire on 12 October 2018.
