The Authority has begun an investigation into a self-reported breach of the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 by Transpower New Zealand Limited as the grid owner. The grid owner failed to apply the correct protection settings to feeder protection relays at its Greytown substation, causing loss of supply to Greytown and the surrounding area for 22 minutes. Affected parties may join the investigation.
