Request for proposals for extended reserve manager role

 
 
The Authority has issued a request for proposal for the new role of extended reserve manager. The role has been created as part of the new arrangements for extended reserve. 
The responsibilities of the extended reserve manager are to:
  1. develop the methodology for selecting extended reserve 
  2. develop a tool for optimising the selection of assets to provide extended reserve
  3. select assets to provide extended reserve, using the selection methodology and selection optimisation tool.
The request for proposal is available on the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) or by sending a request to tenders@ea.govt.nz.
Key dates to consider for the proposal are:
  • deadline for questions is 4pm, 7 November 2014
  • deadline for submission of proposals is 4pm, 19 November 2014.

Electricity Industry Participation Code Amendment (Settlement and Prudential Security) 2014

 
 

The Authority has amended parts 11, 14, and 17 of the Code relating to settlement and prudential security. The amendment makes a number of corrections, clarifications and improvements following on from the Settlement and Prudential Security Code amendment that was made in December 2013.

The amendment comes into force on 24 March 2015, except for clause 3, which comes into force on 6 November 2014.

Reminder—the registry FTP service is being decommissioned

 
 

The registry FTP service is being decommissioned on 31 December 2014.  From 1 January 2015, all file transfers to and from the registry will be via SFTP only. Participants should be planning to migrate to SFTP or already be migrated to SFTP.
