Timeline update for approval of 2014 financial transmission rights (FTR) allocation plan

The Authority has identified that the costs associated with implementing the 2014 financial transmission rights (FTR) allocation plan are substantially higher than originally anticipated.

The Authority is reviewing the cost-benefit analysis for the three new FTR hubs and reconfiguration auctions based on the most up to date information.

The Authority has requested that the clearing manager and the FTR manager continue to commit to delivering the changes required by 1 November 2014 while this review is carried out. A further update will be provided in the Market Brief on 13 May 2014.
