AMI Forum

The Authority is holding a forum on the data access and nomination of the metering equipment provider (MEP) aspects of the Part 10 review project. The forum will be held in Wellington on Wednesday 30 November 2011, from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm.

The purpose of the forum is to get feedback from industry participants and consumers on advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) developments to assist the Authority in considering, and addressing if necessary, issues relating to AMI data access and nomination of the MEP.

A draft agenda will be available later this week and briefing material will be available before the forum.

Please register your intention to attend by email to conference@ea.govt.nz by 5 pm Tuesday 15 November, noting your name(s) and organisation/affiliation, and with ‘AMI forum’ in the subject line.

Participants are reminded of requirements to register with the Authority as a participant and ensure the information provided for registration purposes is up to date.

Failure to register or to update information is an offence under section 31 of the Electricity Industry Act 2010.

Whirinaki outages programme

The Authority has published a new version of the Whirinaki Outage and Testing Programme which has been updated to include full-load operation of units 2 and 3 during the tests on 17 November 2011 (following the outages during the week commencing 14 November 2011).

Extension in deadline for submissions

Following requests from participants, the Authority has decided to extend the deadline for submissions on the pre-consultation on connection of distributed generation until 5:00pm on Friday 11 November 2011.
