Archive - Comalco Agreements summary
Regulation 201 of the Electricity Governance Regulations required the Electricity Commission to publish a summary of the cumulative effect of the Comalco agreements (being the power supply and transmission agreements for the Tiwai point aluminium smelter) that describes how those agreements may affect each Comalco parties ability to comply with Part C and Part G of the Electricity Governance Rules.
Notification received under Regulation 205(5)
The Electricity Commission was required to publish the fact that it had received a notification from a Comalco party of an act or omission that may be, or may have been a breach of Part C or Part G of the Electricity Governance Rules but for the Comalco special provisions. The Commission had received such a notification from Meridian Energy Limited on 30 March 2004. The notification related to the management of reduction line removal and restorations at the Tiwai point aluminium smelter and the following Part G Rules, section II rule 3.10 and 3.15, section III rule 4.6, 4.8 and 4.9.
